[DPG Testbed] Building a Cloud-native Platform for Converging Private and Public Services

To securely connect and converge private and public data and services, Digital Platform Government built a cloud-native integrated platform spanning multi-cloud IaaS (CMP) and PaaS.

A Cloud-native Integrated Environment for Converging Private and Public Services

Digital Platform Government needed an environment to securely connect private and public data and services and to develop, test, and validate innovative services on top of them. It also required a cloud-native foundation that supports everything from multi-cloud resource management to service development and deployment on a single platform.

Enabling Multi-cloud Management and Converged Service Development

The key challenge was to let users easily use various private clouds and freely develop, deploy, and test services that combine public and private APIs.

  • Multi-cloud management: A CMP to easily manage and use various private clouds (NHN, NCP, AWS, KT, Kakao)

  • Converged service development: A PaaS to manage public and private APIs and combine them to develop, deploy, and test innovative services

  • Integrated portal and management: A portal environment offering user-friendly features together with integrated monitoring for administrators

Building a Cloud-native Platform Spanning IaaS (CMP) and PaaS

Built on Serengeti, we delivered multi-cloud resource management, catalog-based infrastructure provisioning, serverless low-code service convergence development, and an integrated portal operating environment.

  • Standardized multi-cloud management: Integrated management of diverse cloud resources through a standardized single-screen UI

  • Catalog-based infrastructure provisioning: A foundation for easily provisioning the cloud environments users select

  • Low-code service convergence: A PaaS environment for freely connecting public and private APIs to develop, deploy, and test services

Better Cloud Usability and a Foundation for Innovative Services

Users can now use multi-cloud resources more easily and freely develop and validate innovative services that combine public and private APIs. Administrators can also monitor all cloud and container resources in one place and run the portal based on policies.

  • Better multi-cloud usability: Easy management and use of diverse private cloud resources on a single platform

  • Support for developing and validating innovative services: An environment to develop, deploy, and test services built on converged public and private APIs

  • Stronger operational efficiency and visibility: Easier operations through custom dashboards, cost tracking, and integrated monitoring
