Background of the AI Home Appliance Commercialization Platform

To strengthen the competitiveness of the local home appliance industry, Gwangju Technopark set out to build a commercialization support environment where AI technology could be applied to and validated in real products. The goal is to support product innovation and new business models by bringing AI into the region's flagship appliance industry.

Limitations in AI Data and Model Development for Appliance Makers

Appliance makers lacked an integrated AI development and validation environment to connect their data to AI model development and service validation.

  • Lack of data management and preprocessing: No integrated environment to systematically manage and preprocess appliance data

  • Fragmented AI development environments: Difficulty selecting and configuring libraries and frameworks for model development and improvement

  • Insufficient service validation environment: No environment to combine AI models with external APIs and validate them as real services

Building a Kubernetes-based Integrated Platform for AI Development and Validation

We built a Kubernetes-based integrated AI platform that covers the entire process, from AI development to deployment and service validation, on a single platform.
