[Sunchon National University] Building a Hands-on Platform for Integrated AI Education for Majors and Non-majors

To develop converged talent in future smart agriculture technologies, Sunchon National University adopted an AI education platform that students from all majors can use together. The platform provides a learning environment that runs from basic AI education to hands-on practice and team projects.

An AI Hands-on Environment for Future Smart Agriculture Education

As a leading university in Fourth Industrial Revolution innovation, Sunchon National University needed a foundation to bring AI education to diverse departments in order to develop converged talent in future smart agriculture technologies. In particular, it required AI content and a lab environment for students from all majors, as well as a way to share assets for team projects.

Securing Basic AI Education and Collaborative Hands-on Training

The key challenge was to let students from various majors take basic AI courses and practice at the same time, and freely share the data and code needed for projects.

  • Common AI education environment: Basic AI content and a lab environment for students from all majors

  • Concurrent lab environment: A framework where many students can access the platform at once and practice in their own environments

  • AI asset sharing: An environment to easily share the data, code, and work outputs needed for practice and team projects

Providing an Integrated Platform for AI Education and Practice

With Cheetah, we provided basic Python course content and a lab environment for students from all majors, with support for simultaneous access by many users and AI asset sharing.

  • Basic AI content: 15 weeks of basic Python course content for students from all majors

  • Concurrent lab environment: Many students can access the platform at once, create their own development environments, and practice

  • AI asset management and sharing: Diverse AI assets such as data, code, and work outputs can be managed on the platform and shared among users

A Foundation for Basic AI Education and Hands-on Training

Sunchon National University can now run basic Python education and AI practice on a single platform, providing a learning environment that students from many departments can use at the same time. Students can practice immediately in their own development environments and share project assets, making learning and collaboration more efficient.

  • Greater access to AI education: Students from all majors can take basic AI courses and practice on the same platform

  • More efficient lab operations: An environment where many students can access the platform and start practicing immediately

  • Stronger collaboration: Team projects and collaboration through sharing AI assets such as data and code
